Treating Stiff and Sore Muscles!
Have you ever woken up in the morning and stretched only to feel neck or shoulder pain? Every movement afterward sends pain shooting down your back, but why exactly does this happen? Read on to find out:
Why do muscles get stiff?

• Muscles require magnesium for them to relax, and calcium for them to contract. When the two are imbalanced, it can lead to muscle spasms and contractions. 
• Dehydration is also a contributing factor to stiff muscles. This is because muscles are active tissues and require lots of water. The water contains electrolytes that help transfer orders from your nervous system to your muscles and back. Without enough water, muscles lose their ability to communicate with the brain.
• Inactivity is another culprit. Leaving your muscles in one state for a prolonged period (sleep or sitting in a chair for an extended period, for instance) can cause them to stiffen. Another cause of muscle stiffness is stress. When we're stressed, our bodies tighten up in preparation for a "fight or flight" situation. Prolonged stress can lead to tightness in the muscles, resulting in strain. 
• The biggest contributor to muscle pain of all is exercise. Muscles lose mass after a prolonged period of inactivity, so when you start training again, it leads to micro-tears that cause pain and stiffness.
How to treat stiff muscles
1. Exercise

Exercising for 30 minutes each day (or every other day) can prevent most cases of muscle stiffness. Exercise keeps your muscles relaxed, and can even improve your mental state. Just don't overdo it, because that's when your muscles get stiff. 
2. Baking soda bath
Add 2-4 heaped tablespoons of baking soda to a hot bath and climb in for rapid muscular pain relief. You can even try replacing the baking soda with ¾ cup of Epsom salt if you wish to.
3. Take supplements
Balance your magnesium and calcium levels by taking supplements, and consider making dietary changes.
4. Massage therapy

Getting a good massage can work wonders for stiff muscles. A licensed masseuse will be able to relieve stiff muscles in a single session, sending you home pain-free and much more relaxed (consult your massage therapist regarding the best treatment for you).
5. Heat application
Simply applying heat to muscles causes the tissue to expand and increase blood flow to the heated area. You can do this by taking a hot shower or massaging the stiff area with a heating pad.
6. Relax & Meditate
Calm yourself down. By reducing the level of stress in your life, your body will relax as well, reducing the likelihood of tight and stiff muscles.
7. Take an NSAID

Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen, aspirin, or naproxen are your best choices. Do not exceed the recommended daily dosage or take them for more than a couple of days at a time.
8. Make sure you're hydrated
Drink water or isotonic drinks to keep your hydration and electrolytes at an adequate level. Men require 13 cups (3 liters) of water per day, while women need nine (2.2 liters).
9. Stretch
Stretching your muscles when you wake up can prevent muscles from stiffening. It increases blood flow throughout your body, and prepares the muscles for the daily movements ahead.

When I heard this for the first time I was also astonished just like you. Can water be used for any therapy? What is there in water? Only H2O – a natural fluid nothing else!
A friend of mine told me that any disease can be treated by water. Naturally I didn't believe it. Then he told me to do some simple things for only 15 days. I had to drink four glasses of warm water in the morning as soon as I awake even before brushing the teeth. Then up to 45 minutes I have to restrict myself from taking anything. After those 45 minutes I could take anything. Then after each meal I have to drink one glass of warm water within ten minutes and nothing could be taken within two hours thereafter. That's all I have to follow for only 15 days and he assured me that I will be relieved from the chronic acidity problem I was having for a couple of years. It sounded amazing and I didn't have any problem taking water in emptystomach. The only thing bothered me that I used to take bed tea as soon as I used to awake. There were lot of articles on the same subject on the net, but none was supported by medical science. There were lot of theories, lot of arguments, but I could not find any conclusion. After a few days of hesitation I finally decided to follow what my friend said for two weeks.
The first day when I took four glasses of warm water I felt some uneasiness in the stomach. But it didn't last long. I felt better after taking the breakfast. I was happy that I had been able to consume so much of warm water without much of difficulties. I had taken it as a challenge and I believed that nothing will happen and after the suggested time I could prove that those all theories are simply useless.
But it didn't happen as I thought. The first result I got in the next morning. I was a patient of constipation since my childhood. The second morning I got an amazing experience. It had never happened in my life! My bowl got cleared within a few minutes. It was such a relief only those people could realize who are having constipation.
I was taking omaz tablet every morning as prescribed by my doctor for the relief of acidity. From the second day I stopped taking that and amazingly I found that the acidity problem didn't bother me! Every day I was feeling better than the previous day. My big tummy seemed to be reduced a little. And after ten days I found that my weight also reduced almost one KG.
I really don't know whether you will believe it or not. It sounds like a fairy tale! I myself couldn't find any medical support for this. Still I will recommend you to practice it for a couple of weeks. After all I didn't find any side effect for this and we all know that water is not a harmful element for our body.

Home Remedies that Encourage Hair Growth

Apply pure aloe vera gel directly on the scalp and gently massage it with your fingers for about 10 minutes. Then, wait for a few hours with the gel on your scalp and wash with lukewarm water.
Repeat this procedure twice a week for best results.

2. Hot Oil Massage:
A very effective home remedy for hair growth, massage the head and scalp with hot oil has several benefits: it can rejuvenate your hair follicles, improve the blood flow to the scalp, prevent dandruff and prevent hair loss.
Using either almond, olive, coconut, jojoba, rosemary or lavender oil - massage your scalp daily. The oil should be warm or lukewarm.
Leave the oil on the hair for at least 30 minutes, then wash it off. For best results, leave the oil overnight and wash it in the morning.
3. Onion Juice
You may not know this, but onion juice is one of the olderst remedies for encouraging hair growth. The sulfur in the onion juice promotes the creation of collagen proteins and aid in the growth of new hair.
Chop a few red onions (or shallots) into small pieces. Then, squeeze the juice out of them. Apply the juice to your scalp for 15 minutes and then rinse off with a mild shampoo. Do this every other day for best results.
4. Apple Cider Vinegar
Is there nothing this material cannot do? Even when it comes to scalp cleaning, this vinegar will keep it clean and healthy and prevent infections (and dandruff). A clean and healthy scalp will definitely have faster hair growth.
Shampoo your hair well, and then rinse it with diluted apple cider vinegar for healthy, shiny hair.
5. Egg
A simple egg can provide a good mask for your hair that

Oil enriched with vitamin E has powerful antioxidant properties and can remove the free radicals that damage our cells. In addition, it can purify the oxygen supply to the scalp and blood flow, which help in healthy hair growth.
Take the oil and massage it gently into the scalp, leave overnight and wash it with a mild shamppo when you get up.
8. Coconut Milk
Coconut milk is heavy in protein and happens to also contain large amounts of iron, potassium and various fats that are essential to the body. Using coconut milk on your scalp and hair will reduce your hair loss while strengthening your individual hairs.

9. Henna
Henna is a natural conditioner. Apply a bit to make your dry hair softer and smooth. Henna strengthens the root of the hair as well.
Mix 2 tablespoons of henna powder with half a cup of yoghurt, and let it stand for 2 hours. Then, apply the mix to your hair and leave it there for about 1 hour. Then wash it off in cold water.
10. Banana and Honey
Banana and honey make for a powerful mix that can perform as a conditioner and moisturize your hair.
Mash one banana and add a tablespoon of honey to create a mix. Apply this mix to your hair, leave it for 45 minutes and then wash it off.
