[www.keralites.net] Tech: The world's first talking parking ticket

The world's first talking parking ticket has been developed to stop drivers leaving their cars on private property.

When a landowner finds a car parked illegally on their land they can now issue a ticket that offers a 'friendly' spoken warning, rather than imposing an instant fine.

The ticket has been designed by British company, FlashPark.

The world's first talking parking ticket has been unveiled.

The world's first talking parking ticket has been unveiled. Designed by British company FlashPark, the ticket plays a 'friendly' pre-recorded message warning drivers to remove their car or face a fine from the DVLA. The drivers can also record a reply

The Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 said landowners are entitled to stop people parking on private property using parking charge notices, but the enforcement must be fair and reasonable.

The audio message can be pre-recorded by the landowner.

A warning to the driver that their details may be obtained from the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) and could lead to a fine is then automatically added to the end of the message.

According to latest figures, the DVLA in Swansea handed over details of 1.5 million motorists to private enforcement companies last year - raking in an estimated £150 million in fines.

Ticket developer Costas Constantinou said: 'The flexibility of this verbal delivery method allows issuers to be as stern or as straightforward as they see fit depending on the situation.'

Future versions of the technology will allow drivers to record a response to the landowner on whose behalf the ticket was issued in the first place.

While the ticket's makers hailed it as playing fair by the motorist, Professor Stephen Glaister, director of the RAC Foundation, was less enthusiastic.

He said: 'For drivers already nagged to death by their satnavs this is the last thing they will want to hear if they have been slapped with a ticket.

'Perhaps the words should be replaced with soothing music.

'How about Money for Nothing by Dire Straits?'

The AA also had doubts about the initiative.

A spokesman said: 'We hope the electrics do not interfere with car electronics like remote locking systems otherwise those that place these devices on cars may find they get more than they bargained for.'

[www.keralites.net] How to Analyze Thoughts

There are several reasons for negative thoughts including but not limited to your circumstances, your brought up, financial situations, family conflicts, job and family complications. While you may not be able to fix these reasons, it is highly recommended to analyze your thoughts and mitigate the negative impact as much as possible. If you remove the impurities from your thoughts you would be able to have a positive, focused and prosperous mind.

How to Analyze My Thoughts:
If you have seen a big aquarium, you must have noticed that the fish keep wandering here and there continuously. From right to left, bottom to up, here and there; all day long. They don't seem to be getting any specific advantage while doing so. Same is the case with human mind. When your head is on the pillow, your brain starts wandering here and there. Several times it is processing the thoughts which shouldn't be the point of concern at all. Though fish do not know this but you can control your wandering of brain by picking up a specific thought/subject and ask these questions:

a) Why am I thinking about this subject? Is this subject related to others? Why am I thinking negative about someone? I should mind my own business.

b) What exactly is the issue? Is this something impacting (or going to impact) me or my family? Can I define my issue/question in one sentence clearly so that I can focus on the solution?
c) How: can I resolve this issues? Is this doable? If not, can I take advice from others?. If I have the solution then what are the steps which needs to be taken?

How Can I Improve the standard of my Thoughts:
a) Avoid thinking about unnecessary things specially related to others. Mind your own business. Posses a focused mind.
b) Stop comparing yourself to others. It's an insult to yourself. You are a unique soul and you are independent on your living, your decisions and your destiny.
c) Don't think of monetary gains too much. Excessive love for money and assets is the root of most of stresses. Work on your real wealth.
d) Develop the habit of forgiving and letting things go off. If you are keeping the grudge in your brains for longer durations, you are killing yourself. Stress is a slow poison which deepens its roots your brain and destroy your physical and mental health.
e) Read quality quotes or articles on positivity and try to absorb the message. This will kill the germs of negativity.
f) Practice the habit of gratitude. Stop complaining, criticizing and blaming. When a negative thought comes in, convert it to positive by looking at the positive side of the issue.
g) Instead of thinking about your 'wants' too much, think about your needs. This will reduce the magnitude of your focus because usually needs are limited but wants are too many. Adapt simple life style as it reduces unnecessary socio-economical issues.

Re: [www.keralites.net] Cant we Keralites survive without politically controlled government.

India needs a Dynamic leader who can change the present system. Only leader who realised the folly of our Democratic System was Srimathi Indira Gandhi and she tried her level best. Except Mr. VP Sathe, a veteran Advocate from Vidarbha and a Minister in her cabinet, not a single MP supported the move. If she had won her move we definitely had a different better India, anyway it cannot be worse than the present India.

Dear Mr Krishnamurthy,

You seem to be pretty happy with the present political system. If you are not, you could have made some new suggestions to improve the system. You have only criticised the suggestions made earlier.
Nevertheless, the answers to your concerns are:-
A Presidential Rule is very much possible, and there is provision in our constitution at present for the same.
The corruption levels in Judiciary and Military are much lower than that in politicians. If 80% of
politicians are corrupt it is only 10% in Judiciary&military at present and is a much lesser evil.

it is possible that they may also get corrupt with power ,in the long run. But it will take at least 30 years to reach the present level. At that time we may think of another change over.
What is important is the efficiency with which decisions are taken and progress growth is made.

No system in India can work perfect. But a system if it goes beyond repair, it needs to be changed.
Look at China ; which was a country of famines and poverty 50 years back.,Today they are aspiring to be the No.1in the world. Of course it is a dictatorial rule there. But people are made to work and are provided  with minimum amenities.
It is high time to (at least )discuss alternatives to present system to a slow and corrupt system.

with best regards,

Good, instead of corrupt democracy, you demand a dictatorship government and name it as neo democracy.

Who will suspend all political parties ? President of India, you, army general, chief justice ?  It is a wind talk
Idea is good, but you have not read the system.  Panchayat raj, municipalities, corporations are having elected
representatives .  Question is ,`what they are doing`.  Same thing as MLA OR MP does in a miniature level.
Whom, you are directing to dismiss ministers.  Who is going to suspend the constitution to do this ?  Hands
are having psoriasis or skin disease--can you cut the hand?
Governance done by majority voice of elected representatives--what is new--same thing happening even today!!
I donot go deep into bureaucrats to be hunted military shall be allowed to run parallel government-because
First part, that dismissal of govt officials not happening, military is already coming under listed corrupts and
once they become alternative police, You will not be able to put your anti-establishment ideas even in net
because you will have no internet in jail

Some additional suggestions:
1.    Suspend all political parties and their activities.
2.    Elect candidates from village/town/cities based on their merits
3.   These should decide issues based on majority at Parliament and advise the CEO (be it a Prime Minister/President/CEO) for execution
4.    Dismiss  all ministers and their private staff.
5.    Suspend all Trade and Labor unions based on Political parties. Union leaders are to be elected on merits and they should be employees ( not outsiders) from the respective Organisations
4.    Governance to be done by the majority voice of elected representatives.
6.   Strong judiciary to overlook all bureaucratic work as per constitution.
5.    A board of Senior officers should be given powers to terminate services of  inefficient, corrupt and indiscipline staff of all Govt organizations/Firms/police/Vigilance etc.  This will get rid of perhaps more than 50% of the current staff. This will make the system more efficient and save substantial financial resources; And will provide sufficient Funds for development.
6.    Army/Military to augment and supervise Law and Order enforcement .

and many more................................. but this will do to start with !

Certainly it is high time , a Govrnmt controlled by politicians is done away with. Politicians have been polluting the lives of common man by the unethical, and corrupt ways for their own selfish motives.Particularly in Kerala it is reaching  a point of no return.
So what are the options ?????
Some suggestions below:-

1.    Suspend all political parties and their activities.
2.    Dismiss  all ministers and their private staff.
3.     Suspend all Trade and Labor unions based on Political parties. Union leaders are to be elected on merits and they should be employees ( not outsiders) from the respective Organisations
4.    Governanence to be done by the beurocratic machinery, supervised by Judiciary.
5.    A board of Senior officers should be given powers to terminate services of  inefficient, corrupt and indisciplined staff of all Govmt organisations/Firms/police/Vigilence etc.  This will get rid of perhaps more than 50% of the current staff. This will make the system more efficient and save subtansial financial resources; And will provide sufficient Funds for devolopment.
6.    Army/Military to augment and supervise Law and Order enfocement

Any more suggestions?? Can we do the above?? Your comments please.

Warm regards,

politicians do all sorts of crimes and to survive the cases against them, the capture power and scrap the cases.  this is what is going on.  democracy to do non-senses by goons and rowdies.  they can kill anybody and come to power to avoid cases of crimes against them.  this will continue if the democracy of this type continues.
